Zen Music
Zen is the practice of returning to the original mind, and music is the expression of the utmost truth, goodness and beauty. Through practice the musician-monks reach the true, good and beautiful within, and on stage reveal the self that is already complete — moving and purifying the heart, in service of world peace and human friendship.
Zen Tea
Zen tea invites us to release status and distraction, live in the present and enjoy tea without discrimination. Madagascar’s mountain landscape offers a quiet setting for this practice.
Zen Forest
The Leshan Temple in Antananarivo, Madagascar practices harmony with nature through tree planting and environmental care.
Modern Chan & the Three-Zen Practice
After restoring and revitalizing a Chinese temple with more than 1,400 years of history and developing the culture of Zen music, tea and forest practice, the teacher travelled to Madagascar in 2019 to establish a new practice community.
The vision is a world-class center grounded in musical meditation and everyday care, supporting Liuzu Charity School while promoting peace, friendship and intercultural understanding.
